Osteopathic Recognition Matters:

Programs for Optimal Patient Care

Osteopathic Recognition Matters: Programs For Optimal Patient Care is the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM)’s campaign to promote the benefits of graduate medical education programs with Osteopathic Recognition. Programs with Osteopathic Recognition provide a complete and rigorous education by focusing on the principles and practice of osteopathic medicine. Osteopathic Recognition promotes the ability for programs to strengthen their applicant pool in accordance with the program’s mission and aims. It also provides a learning environment that advances the residents’ ability to provide high-quality, holistic patient care.

For Students

Residency programs with Osteopathic Recognition create a nurturing learning environment where you can build on your skills and interest in osteopathic medicine. These programs offer a planned methodology and organized curriculum to continue your preparation for your autonomous clinical practice.
